Directors message

As the new Executive Director, I am incredibly humbled and honored to have the opportunity to advance YFC’s mission & vision to positively impact our youth and familias in Greeley and our surrounding communities, while simultaneously having the opportunity to foster relationships across Weld County, District 6, local Police Departments and other organizations to strengthen the well-being, and cohesive nature of our Greeley community and our organization.

Youth & Family Connections is a place that allows me the opportunity to give back to the community that once welcomed me with open arms nearly 15 years ago.As a first-generation student, from a low-income household, I have grown to be familiar with a strivingmindset based on a strong foundation built on educational, communal and familial values. These values have naturally inspired me to motivate and inspire individuals in identifying their potential to continue and share this passion to serve others. I fully understand the stories of our youthand familiasthat walk through our doors. And it is through my own personal experiences and story telling that I connect with our youth and their families.

I look forward to working alongside our youth, familiasand our community to make a difference in the lives of those we serve.By working together, we can have a lasting impact across our Greeley community, surrounding communities and Weld County.

I hope to have the opportunity to get to know you-our donors, volunteers, partners and neighbors—and invite you with open arms to visit our center to meet our staff and learn more about our services. Our casa es tu casa!

Thank you for all you do and for being part of the YFC Movement!

Saludos,

Iván Díaz,
M.A.Executive Director
